Öxarárfoss Waterfall, Iceland
Iceland is home to some the most majestic waterfalls in the world thanks to its abundant glacial rivers, ample rainfall, snow and mountainous landscape. The bleak sky washed away the colour that day, leaving me with a starkly monochrome frame. It’s this, and the contrast of hard and soft here at Öxarárfoss that I liked the most - the black angular basalt boulders set against the soft white moving water… hard & soft, black & white, another example of the opposites that can be found in harmony across so much of Iceland’s beautiful landscape.
