WHISPERING REEDS

Hof, Iceland
Iceland is best known for some of the most dramatic landscapes in the world; from glaciers and fjords, to icebergs and waterfalls, volcanos and basalt cliffs, but I took this shot to try to capture the Huldufolk. Part of the quirky and distinctive Icelandic folklore, Huldufolk (hidden people) are the elves of Iceland, supernatural beings that live in enchanted rocks and cliffs where they lead lives very similar to ours. You can see the wind rushing through the reeds here, but can you hear it? Perhaps its the whispers of the Huldufolk.
