SOLITUDE

Pingvallavatn, Iceland
Autumn in Iceland brings heavy rains, storms, and severe winds. Temperatures decrease daily, with occasional frosts and snow storms. The daylight periods will get shorter while the nights get darker and longer. To me, these beautiful old farm houses reflect all of this - lone sentries, weathered by the harsh and unique natural environment in which Icelanders struggle to survive. They are incredibly tough people.
