Sometimes Mother Nature decides to show off when you least expect it and you’ve just got to be ready, to think on your feet, if you want to catch the light. This afternoon, the sky looked fairly ordinary, overcast and drizzly, when suddenly everything began to glow.
 
I didn’t know where I was going or what I was going to shoot but my camera bags are always packed, so I just got in the car and drove. Here at the foot of the Flinders Ranges, in a matter of minutes, everything was bathed in vivid pink, even the double rainbows - the second one wasn’t visible to my eye at the time... that’s the magic of transparency film, it can see things you can’t.
