SECRET BAY

It’s a decent hike to this secluded beach in the Royal National Park - especially when the journey back is in the dark with camera gear and tripod on your back. I chose to take a series of long exposures after sunset to capture the movement of the water over the rocks and this image, the last shot on the roll, was my favourite. What I love about it, is the illusion the blurry water gives of the rock shelf rising up above the clouds - the secret bay only revealing itself as the suns last pink glow disappeared beyond the horizon.
