Freshwater has got to be one of my favourite beaches in Sydney. I spent many years living and surfing here, and swimming in the ocean pool. Unlike a lot of Sydney’s tourist beaches, it’s not easily accessible by public transport which keeps the crowds down - it’s mostly locals, keen surfers and families that flock to its secluded shore on the weekends, a little community that will always be a part of me.
