CAPE PERON

Cape Peron, Western Australia
It was a long and bumpy off road drive followed by a fly ridden hike out to this location in Francois Peron National Park in Western Australia. Known for its contrasting red cliffs, white beaches and blue waters, I was almost spoilt for choice when I arrived at the cape – all the colours were there, but I didn’t know where to point my camera. As a photographer, you learn that it’s not always about capturing what’s in front of you – you need to look around you, behind you and sometimes beneath you. This was the view 100 feet below the cliff tops I was standing on, where the deep red earth clutched the sun's last rays then fell into the ocean.
