2018 saw some of the driest months Eastern Australia had seen in over 30-years. Once luscious pastures had turned to brown, dams had dried up, all of the creeks were barren and there was no relief in sight. Australians are a tough breed, and times like these remind us why. As the bare limbs of this tree began to glow at sunset, it looked like a hand reaching out from the earth, symbolic of a land holding on to life, a survivor.
